Connect your GitHub repository to Hyperlift so you can build and deploy your app in a single flow.
The Starlight™ Hyperlift initial setup guide will help you get started and set up the product.
If you do not yet have a full production application, we have prepared a test Starlight™ Hyperlift deployment using a sample repository. This allows you to quickly test the build and deployment process before moving to your production environment.
This guide walks you through installing and authorizing the Starlight™ Hyperlift GitHub app.
When you begin the GitHub connection process in Hyperlift:
If you are not logged into GitHub, you will be redirected to the GitHub login page.
Once logged in, you’ll be redirected to the GitHub app installation screen.
If you are part of one or more GitHub organizations, you will need to select an account or organization to install the app on.
If you are not part of any organizations, GitHub will skip this step and take you straight to the installation screen.
Once on the Install & Authorize page:
Select the repository to connect:
Hyperlift can only connect to one repository at a time, even if you select multiple here.
We recommend selecting only the repository you plan to use with Hyperlift. Giving access to additional repositories isn't necessary and could expose more of your code than needed. Limiting access helps keep your projects secure.
Review the permissions granted to the GitHub app:
These permissions are required for Hyperlift to build and deploy your app.
You can't change them here, but you should be aware of what access is granted.
Click the Install & Authorize button to finish.
Once the GitHub app is installed:
You will be redirected back to Hyperlift Manager to complete setup.
