No, these protocols won’t be available as they are incompatible with end-to-end (E2E) encryption. We understand that some users are used to third-party email applications, but at Spaceship we believe this is the best way to ensure the security and safety of your data. Our webmail interface was developed with a minimalistic, simple design that includes all the features you need from your email, whether you're using it personally or professionally.
Data theft is a constant issue online. Fortunately, email encryption is one way to protect your private information from malicious actors. If an unauthorized user gains access to your email data during transmission, encryption ensures they can’t read it. All they’ll see is a random string of characters.
At Spaceship, your privacy and security is at the heart of what we do. We want to ensure that whether you use your email account for personal or business needs, you’re always provided with the best options to protect your data.
End-to-end (E2E) encryption ensures secure communication and prevents third parties from accessing data in transit between a sender and recipient. E2E encryption encrypts data on the sender’s device so it can’t be read, hacked, or meddled with on its journey. This is one of the most effective forms of protection from data theft.
In addition to our default encryption, you can also add password protection to emails. When you add password protection, the recipient must enter a password you set to read the email. This means only someone who knows the password can read the email. It’s a great way to guarantee an email’s security, as you won’t always know how well your recipient protects their own accounts and devices from cybercrime.
This feature also allows you to securely email people who are not Spacemail users. In this instance, the recipient will receive an email with a link to the whole message, which will be hosted on our secure servers. The message can only be decrypted when the recipient enters the correct password. After reading, the recipient can reply securely from the same page.

Yes, it is possible to send encrypted messages to anyone, whether or not they use Spacemail. However, if they use another provider, they will be forwarded to a separate Spacemail page where they can read the email after entering the password provided by the sender. From here, they can reply to the email with their own encrypted email (which may not be possible with their own provider).
Unfortunately, at this time, it’s not possible to migrate to Spacemail.
Spacemail has its own spam filtration service — Jellyfish. It is a smart email security system with built-in AI technology that learns your preferences over time. It efficiently protects your inbox from email threats including spam, phishing, viruses, malware, and spoofing. Jellyfish filtering is provided with every Spacemail plan, and it is enabled by default for maximum security. You can check more here.
