How to enable or disable Jellyfish filtering?

Settings option allows you to disable and enable incoming Jellyfish filtering (enabled by default) in the Jellyfish interface. Once you turn off Jellyfish, the filtering for your domain is completely disabled so that you will receive all emails sent to the email address, even spam ones. All the blocklist or acceptlist rules you have created in the interface will also stop working.

NOTE 1: Disabling anti-spam filtering makes you vulnerable to email threats (such as spoofing, phishing, viruses, or malware) and that's why it is highly recommended to keep the filtering on to ensure that you are not exposing your email addresses to security risks.

However, if you decide to disable the Jellyfish filtering anyway, you will need to do the following:

  1. Log into the Jellyfish dashboard. Check how to do it in this guide: How to log into the Jellyfish dashboard

  2. Once logged in, go to the Settings tab

  3. Click on Disable Jellyfish and then confirm your choice by choosing Yes, disable Jellyfish in the pop-up window. You will then see the notification that the filtering is disabled

NOTE 2: Once filtering is disabled, it is impossible to create, add, or edit blocklist or acceptlist rules. It will be necessary to enable filtering again to do that.

A valid email is required
