Managing websites and Alf Website Products

As with every website, once publication is initiated, there’s a propagation period. We recommend waiting until it's complete before attempting further edits. DNS propagation can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours.

Currently, there are two ways to start managing websites built with Alf:

  1. By opening the Alf Website Studio application.

  2. By triggering the editor manually in the regular chat with Alf.

The application method is convenient and reliable as it provides an overview of all websites created/drafted with Alf, and automatically sends the correct prompt to the system.

Alf Website Studio

This application can be accessed from:

If you have some websites built with Alf, you will see the corresponding product cards associated with the subscriptions. There, you can check various details about the website, such as the last edit date, the last publishing date, and the domain name associated with the website:

It's possible to open the Alf editor by clicking on the "Edit" button:

In this case, a chat with a pre-made prompt opens:

Once the website is connected to a domain, it is possible to access the website by clicking on the website name:

Clicking on the "Manage" button opens a side panel, where it's possible to:

  • Cancel subscription (i.e. delete the associated website);

  • Renew subscription;

  • Configure auto-renewal;

  • Edit website;

  • Create a connection with a domain name through user interface (Unboxing) as an alternative to asking Alf in the chat;

  • Manage existing connections.

Manual prompting

We advise you to initiate website editing by going back to the original chat where the website was created and asking Alf to update it there. However, it's also possible to edit websites in a new chat. To do this:

  1. Ask Alf to list the websites you have and then pick the one for editing:

  2. Enter the domain associated with the published website and ask Alf to update it:

Once Alf has implemented your new edits and you’re satisfied with the outcome, you’ll need to republish it for the changes to take effect on your website.
