An Alias host record works like a smart shortcut for your domain. It allows you to point your domain (or subdomain) to another hostname, and our system automatically finds the correct IP address. Unlike a standard CNAME, an Alias record can be used for the main domain (root domain), not just subdomains.
To set up an ALIAS record in Spaceship:
Go to Advanced DNS Manager.
Select the domain you’d like to add a host record to.
Navigate to DNS records -> Custom records.
Choose a CNAME record from the suggested list.
Insert @ in the Host field and fill in the Value field.
Select the Add button.
Your CNAME record will resolve as an ALIAS record.
