How the judging works

Submissions close 1 November. Semi-finalists are announced 6 November, finalists 20 November, and winners are revealed at Art Basel Miami on 3 December 2026.

Judging is carried out by a panel of figures from across the international art world. The full panel is listed on award.art and is worth reviewing before you enter.

How to enter

If you already have a .ART domain

If your .ART domain has live content at its URL, you're ready to submit. Before entering, confirm your URL includes a short bio (around 100 words), examples of your work, and some context around your creative process. That's what reviewers will be looking at when they visit your domain.

The submission form asks for four things: your name, the title of your work, your .ART URL, and your email. It takes minutes.

Submit your .ART domain to the Award

If you don't have a .ART domain yet

Getting from no domain to a submitted entry is more straightforward than it might seem. Here's how to do it before 1 November.

Step 1: Register a .ART domain. Takes a couple of minutes.

Step 2: Point it to your work. You don't need to build a website from scratch. Redirect your .ART domain to an existing portfolio, social profile, or any page where your work is already documented.

Before you submit, make sure wherever you're pointing it includes a short bio (around 100 words), examples of your work, and some context around your creative process. That's what the judges will be evaluating.

Step 3: Submit. Head to award.art, fill in four fields, and submit before 1 November 2026.

Who can enter

Artists, photographers, designers, illustrators, galleries, and creative studios are all eligible. The award is global with no geographic restrictions. If your work is online and you have a .ART domain pointing to it, you qualify.

Why a .ART domain

The .ART extension was built for the creative community. It signals what you do before anyone visits your site and gives your work a dedicated, professional home that isn't tied to a platform you don't control. For creatives relying on social profiles or generic domains, it's a more permanent and recognisable way to present work online.

For the purposes of this award, it's also the entry mechanism itself.
