How to use Spacemail with Gmail, Outlook, Thunderbird or any other email client?

You can connect your Spacemail mailbox to any third-party email client of your choice (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.) using IMAP, POP3, and SMTP protocols.

The configuration details are available in both your Spacemail Manager and Spacemail webmail.

In Spacemail Manager

  1. Log in to your account here

  2. Locate the Spacemail subscription linked to the mailbox in question.

  3. Click the three dots next to the required mailbox and select IMAP/POP3/SMTP.

  4. Use the configuration details to set up an email client.

In Spacemail Webmail

  1. Log in to your Spacemail Webmail.

  2. Click the Settings button in the upper-right corner.

  3. Locate the IMAP/SMTP/POP3 card.

  4. Click See configuration to view your setup details.

  5. Go to your preferred email client and enter the configuration information.

Note: IMAP/SMTP/POP3 access is enabled by default. You can disable it at any time from either Spacemail Manager or webmail.

General IMAP/SMTP/POP3 configuration details

Username: your full Spacemail address
Password: the password for this email account
Server Type: IMAP or POP3

The difference between IMAP and POP3:

  • POP3 downloads emails from a server to a single device and then deletes them from the server.

  • IMAP stores emails on a server and synchronises your messages across multiple devices.

We recommend using IMAP for better synchronisation.
